The fishery and solar power cogeneration plant of TCC CHA-CHIEN Green Energy Corporation at Budai of Chiayi broke ground. This installation combining solar power and a fish farm is the first of its kind in Taiwan. This solar project can result in a win-win-win result for fishery, renewable energy creation, and the environment.

TCC won the top 25 international brands of Branding Taiwan in 2020 by the Bureau of Industrial Development, Ministry of Economic Affairs.

TCC won 8 awards of TCSA including first place of traditional manufacturing and energy, once again the top company in the traditional industry!

Yungle Elementary School of Yilan joined the TCC Cement Academy Program. There are 21 elementary schools all over the world that participate in TCC Cement Academy Program.

The corporate headquarters of TCC was ranked as the outstanding green purchaser of the year by the Environmental Protection Administration, Executive Yuan.

TCC won the “CSR Elite of the Year” from International Inspection Institution SGS.

The ready-mix concrete plants of TCC in Kaohsiung, Xiaogang, and Luzhu were ranked as outstanding green purchasers by the Environmental Protection Bureau of Kaohsiung City Government.

The first one in Taiwan! The BOO project of the cement kiln co-processing of wastes at the Hoping Cement Plant in Hualien passed the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA). This is a new milestone For TCC’s circular economy goal to turn household wastes into resources.

TCC held the Suppliers Conference, the first of its kind in the traditional industry of Taiwan to promote the green economy supply chain and cultivate partnership relations.

TCC won the 9th position of “Big Enterprises” of the 2020 Excellence in Corporate Social Responsibility by CommonWealth Magazine. It is the first time that TCC was put on the list of the top 10 enterprises and has been the top company in the traditional industry group for three consecutive years.

TCC joined the Global Cement and Concrete Association (GCCA) 2050 Climate Ambition to declare for carbon neutralization of concrete in 2050.

TCC DAKA, an Open Eco-Factory, unveiled the “DAKA Musical Village” project and held the “DAKA Musical Village Opening Party," a large-scale concert.

TCC Green Energy, a subsidiary of TCC, and E-One Moli Energy jointly won the bid of the “Automatic Frequency Control (AFC) Frequency Regulation Ancillary Services” project offered by Taiwan Power Corporation, which allowed TCC to emerge as the only other contractor in Taiwan in providing service in the capacity of 5.2MWh, the other contract is Tesla.

The ESG section of TCC’s company website was launched online to upgrade the transparency of the sustainable performance of the Group.

TCC completed the accreditation of the carbon footprints of our Portland I type cement and 3000psi concrete and passed the review by the Environmental Protection Administration, Executive Yuan for the setting of Product Category Rules (PCR) for cement products. 8/6 TCC was granted the first cement product carbon label in Taiwan.

TCC pledged to Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) to set the target of reducing carbon emission by 11% in 5 years and emerged as the first cement enterprise in Greater China and East Asia that has completed target setting of the Science Based Target (SBT).

TCC won the Asia’s Green Company of The Year award in 2020 Asia Corporate Excellence & Sustainability Awards (ACES).

TCC merged our CSR report with AR to engage in interaction with the public through IT.

Filip Grzegorzewski, Director of the European Economic and Trade Office led a delegation of 18 EU Representatives in Taiwan for a visit to TCC DAKA.

TCC won the Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards (ASRA) in the Silver Award of Asia’s Best Workplace Reporting.

TCC won first place in the “traditional industry group” of CSR annual survey conducted by GlobalView Monthly. It is unprecedented that Global View has granted such an award to a cement enterprise for the first time in 16 years, the highest honor of the traditional industry in Taiwan.

Phase I site of TCC DAKA, an Open Eco-Factory, was launched to the public. This site is not for profit-seeking. On Apr. 10th, TCC DAKA was the first large-size manufacturer of Taiwan that was granted with the Tourism Factory Mark. On Nov. 20th, the TCC DAKA washroom area was evaluated by the Environmental Protection Administration as five-star public toilet and among the top 50 public toilets in Taiwan. On Nov. 24th, won the popularity excellence award from DailyView. TCC DAKA won the network volume champion as a tourism factory in the first six months of operation.
