This journey began one early morning in 1954. At that time, Taiwan was newly awakened like a spring dawn, and the air was suffused with the excitement of the commencement of the first shareholders’ meeting. The clock chimed, but it was not just the hour that rang out – it was the toll of destiny. Like the Roman heroes of old, taking courage and conviction as their shield, they turned cement into the foundation of modern construction and constructed a magnificent epic that unfolded in Taiwan. 

Cement is an ancient and simple material, once used on the dome of the Pantheon, a symbol of glory and eternity.The history of TCC is also a microcosm of Taiwan’s economic development. In 1962, TCC became the first listed company in Taiwan, with the stock number 1101, like the first glimmer of dawn breaking through the stillness of the night, heralding the arrival of a new era. In 1973, Mr. KOO Chen-Fu took over as Chairman of the Board of Directors, guiding the Company with a steady hand, like a lone sail on the waves of time, never changing its course and establishing a solid foundation for every road and bridge in Taiwan. 

The fleeting five years between 1974 and 1979 were resplendent and TCC illuminated the entire island with a star-like radiance. It smoothed rugged paths into smooth roads, stretched bridges over vast rivers, built lighthouses along the shores to guide boats to safety, and even tamed the ever-flowing currents with magnificent dams. During this time of great construction, technology and spirit intertwined, forming an invisible force, much like the ancient Roman blend of lime and volcanic ash, forging a new chapter for civilization.
