TCC C. F. Koo Building
"PV-Charging-Storage" Low-carbon Smart Building
The TCC C. F. Koo Building is named in honor of TCC's former Chairman, Mr. Koo Chen-fu. Mr. Koo's courtesy name was Gongliang, and his motto, "Humility and harmony lead to trust and integrity", is deeply embodied in the building, symbolizing the enduring spirit of Mr. Koo passed down by the people of TCC.
As TCC's future operational hub in mainland China, this modernized building will integrate smart office spaces, a global goods showcase, and diverse ecological functions. Its design fully embodies TCC's strategic focus over recent years, spanning five continents across three major development pillars: "Low-Carbon Construction Materials, Resource Recycling, and Green Energy." The building utilizes low-carbon cement produced by TCC's Jurong, Jiangsu plant, which uses washed fly ash as an alternative raw material. It is also equipped with Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIP) solar glass, significantly reducing the building's energy consumption and carbon emissions. Furthermore, TCC has installed its exclusively developed EnergyArk cement energy storage cabinet (6.18 MWh) within the building. This, coupled with an 824 KWh PV-charging-storage system, not only powers the charging pile system and generates revenue from peak and off-peak electricity price differences, but also helps the building conserve electricity through energy storage.
A smart building that integrates low-carbon design, solar energy with storage for energy efficiency, and green, healthy features.
