TCC is Taiwan's first publicly listed company and has been actively transitioning to low-carbon over the past five years. It has developed an international layout for the green energy industry chain and is currently ranked 8th in Mainland China's cement industry. Its subsidiary, NHOA, is also among the top five in the world in terms of energy storage deployment on four continents. On the October 18th, TCC will make its debut at Energy Taiwan, the largest annual energy event in Taiwan, to showcase "EnergyArk," the world's first patented "Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC) Energy Storage Cabinet" that integrates low-carbon construction materials with new energy technologies.
EnergyArk has received national certifications from the National Institute for Building Research (CNS12514-1, -8) and endorsements from the Fire Bureau, making it the safest indoor energy storage solution in Taiwan. TCC's Chairman, Nelson An-ping Chang, will personally unveil EnergyArk at the event. Nelson An-ping Chang stated that ensuring safety is priceless and preventing disasters is the essence of true security. The innovative product, UHPC energy storage cabinet, launched by TCC this time, is aimed at providing the public with a product that guarantees safety.

Nelson An-ping Chang explained that the most pressing concern in energy storage is fire safety, especially in cases of battery fires. EnergyArk's design allows for rapid cooling within five minutes by injecting water to prevent the spread of fire, safeguarding both batteries and surrounding components. Energy storage cabinet boasts a long lifecycle and high safety standards, providing a turnkey solution for safe and efficient urban energy grids. TCC hopes to launch a safe energy storage system that will provide future urban power grids with flexibility, resilience, and practicality in a safe and efficient manner.
Taiwan's commitment to increasing renewable energy sources as a primary power supply is well-aligned with the government's policy, which aims to achieve 5.5 GW of energy storage capacity by 2030. However, in the past six months, numerous energy storage projects in Taiwan have faced community protests, causing delays. As a result, ensuring "safety" becomes the key factor in overcoming these challenges. EnergyArk, launched by TCC's subsidiary, NHOA.TCC, offers a comprehensive solution to energy storage safety with its three core features - fire resistance, heat resistance, and fire suppression.

The UHPC material in EnergyArk is renowned for its low thermal conductivity, fire resistance, and exceptional strength, ensuring safety even in extreme conditions. Nelson An-ping Chang described that "high temperature in the cement manufacturing process is normal, so how to handle fire and balance fire has been the core competitiveness of TCC for decades." In addition, UHPC also has the characteristics of high compressive strength, which is 1.5 times stronger than the strength of Taipei 101 building. EnergyArk uses UHPC as the material for its energy storage cabinet shell. With the energy management system developed by NHOA.TCC, EnergyArk can detect battery abnormalities and prioritize cooling to prevent thermal runaway. If a battery's temperature remains uncontrollable, EnergyArk's patented water injection system can flood the container within five minutes, effectively extinguishing the fire.
EnergyArk is uniquely designed as a square 10-foot cabinet, offering flexibility in placement compared to the standard 20-foot or 40-foot metal cabinet available on the market. This not only allows for versatile configurations at energy storage sites but also minimizes operational risks by containing incidents within a single 10-foot UHPC cabinet.

As Taiwan transitions toward decentralized energy grids, indoor energy storage becomes a necessity. EnergyArk, with its dual certifications from the Fire Bureau and the National Institute for Building Research, stands out as the safest indoor energy storage solution in Taiwan. EnergyArk offers three different battery capacities of 40, 60, and 1000, which are suitable for both indoor and outdoor environments. It is the only energy storage product in Taiwan to pass CNS12514-1 and CNS12514-8 certifications, which pertain to internal building firewalls. EnergyArk has been proven to have a thermal insulation and flame retardant performance of up to 2 hours under heating up to a maximum of 1,050℃. Additionally, EnergyArk is the sole energy storage product in Taiwan to offer product liability insurance and hold endorsements from the Fire Bureau.
EnergyArk addresses climate change concerns by prioritizing low carbon and weather-resistant design. Its UHPC construction material provides corrosion resistance, leak prevention, salt resistance, and high weather resistance, making it suitable for various installation environments. Furthermore, its low thermal conductivity reduces energy consumption for cooling systems by 20-30%, contributing to environmental sustainability. With a life cycle of 100 years, EnergyArk offers a 50% reduction in carbon emissions compared to traditional metal cabinets, promoting eco-friendliness.
With its arrangement combining renewable energy, li-ion battery, and energy storage, TCC Group has become the largest new energy industry group in Taiwan. TCC's subsidiary, NHOA.TCC, has developed a city-level microgrid Total Solution service for customers, which includes the EnergyArk energy storage cabinet as the core, as well as the development of green charging and energy storage stations, green energy matching services, and aggregated power trading. As the world progresses towards net-zero emissions by 2050, TCC recognizes that many businesses face challenges in their transformation journey. TCC offers four key solutions: large power consumers' solutions, decentralized power systems, low-carbon vehicle solutions, and pure green virtual power plants. For instance, large power consumers can use EnergyArk alongside green energy services to fulfill their obligations while efficiently managing peak demand and storing renewable energy in the most cost-effective manner. NHOA.TCC also introduces leasing options for the EnergyArk system, making it more accessible to businesses by reducing the initial investment threshold.
